ACAMS Connect AMLA – Risk Assessment: From Customer to Institutional Risk
Overview
AMLA’s regulatory framework is moving rapidly from concept to operationalization. In this session of ACAMS Connect AMLA, ACAMS Fellow and independent AFC expert David Clark will unpack two draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) currently out for public consultation. Drawing on first‑hand insights from AMLA’s initial public hearings, the discussion will highlight how regulators are framing risk, supervision and implementation challenges. The session will also examine AMLA’s ongoing EU‑wide data collection exercise designed to test and calibrate its risk assessment models, and what both financial and non-financial institutions should expect next as AMLA prepares for direct supervision.
All ACAMS webinars are available with live, AI-powered translation for audio and captions in more than 60 languages.
